What’s on this Summer?

Things to do for Children & Young people in Lockleaze & the surrounding area

Whichever activities you join this Summer, please remember:

  • Always follow current government guidance on social distancing. This currently means maintaining at least 1m distance from people outside of your household. More info here.
  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and dry thoroughly and use anti-bac gel.
  • Use a tissue or elbow to cough or sneeze into and bin it.
  • Walk or cycle where possible or use a private vehicle, following recommended travel guidance: Coronavirus (COVID-19): safer travel guidance for passengers
  • If you, your children or anyone in your household presents COVID-19 symptoms you must stay at home and self isolate for 14 days or until you receive a negative COVID-19 test.

Dr Bike - bike mots

Does your bike need a bit of TLC?  Life Cycle UK are offering families at the Vench the chance to get their children’s bikes checked over, tweaked and have minor problems fixed.

We are sad that due to Covid 19, we can’t do this work with the young people themselves but pleased to at least be able to get bikes back in good working order.

We have limited capacity, so all checks must be booked in advance. Bikes are to be delivered to the main entrance on Wednesdays before ‘Bike Club’ at 1pm and will be ready to collect at 5pm on the same day.

Creative Youth Network

11-19 year olds

The open access session is currently unable to be delivered in its present form, so we have created a Facebook Group for those who wish to join!  We will be planning on multiple activities delivered on multiple platforms – from games and entertainment, to online cooking groups and 1:1 support where requested.

Young people can find their local Youth Workers, Lisa and Jon, on Facebook.

ONLINE, under 2s.

Although we may not be able to run our usual groups, North Bristol Children’s Centres are still here for you over the summer holiday period with our virtual timetable of events.

We are also available via the telephone for help and advice.

Please follow our Facebook page for more information.
