    A HUGE thanks to the funding we receive, we work tirelessly to improve our playground for our community!

    Grundon have supported The Vench to install a new trampoline, a new hot water system for our community building, a new pizza oven in our kitchen garden and rebuild our enterance ramp, ensuring we can be accessible to everyone. Many thanks to Enovert Community Trust and Grundon Ltd for all the support!!

    Meet our new trampoline !

    This summer The Vench welcomed a new friend to our adventure playground, a brand new Trampoline! We want to say a big thanks to GRUNDON, for supporting us with the funding for this!

    At the Vench, our previous trampoline required our young people to climb a ladder, meaning it wasn’t always possible for some of our young people to easily use it. Thankfully, our new Trampoline is at ground level meaning it is much more accessible for all who wish to bounce! Our children and young people are inventing new ways to play, developing new large motor skills and being active, which is just what we wanted.

    Not only this, but we are also incredibly thankful to GRUNDON for funding the installation of a new hot water system, enabling us continue to serve the local community.

    Both of these installations have been transformative. The Vench seeks to make our community centre as safe and accessible as possible, so we can continue working to support children and young people in Lockleaze to live happy and healthy lives. Thanks to Grundon, these aims have become more of a reality over the last few months.

    Come and try out our new springy friend and test out the hot bubbles at one of our play and youth this autumn term! Our hours are….

    Play sessions :

    Tuesdays & Thursdays 3.30-6

    Youth sessions:

    Tuesdays 6.30 – 8.30 & Wednesdays 4.30-6.00

    Are you a foody with some extra time on your hands to help feed the Lockleaze community? 
     
    Are a secret chef connoisseur looking for a place to try out some new recipes?
     
    Or maybe you just want to enjoy some time in the kitchen with our lovely team at The Vench!
     
    Come and volunteer on our the cooking team at The Vench! 
     
    When
    Shifts will be Thursdays 3-5pm, during our after school Supper & Play sessions.
     
    Your role
    This role includes helping to cook a hot healthy meal; chopping vegetables, preparing meals, serving and washing up.
